KIDS

When Jesus saw this… He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. (Mark 10:14)
There are numerous groups and activities designed for children. Adults can also find opportunity here to work as part of a team to serve children.
Sunday Nursery: We commit to care for the infants and toddlers of our congregation by creating a safe fun environment for them to play during the Worship service.
Sunday School is provided for children ages 3-15. It meets during the sermon for each Sunday service approximately from 11:00 – 11:45. Its purpose is to teach children Biblical truth in a way that encourages and builds up a foundation of faith on their level. Activities include reading a Bible story, a craft, prayer, and Bible memorization.
Sprout is a children’s ministry for kids ages 5-8. It meets every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30. Its purpose is to introduce children to Jesus in a way that they can understand. Activities include reading Bible stories about Jesus, prayer, crafts and high energy games.
Growing Deeper is a children’s ministry for kids ages 13-16. This group meets periodically to teach children Biblical truth in a way that encourages and builds up a foundation of faith on their level. Activities include Bible reading, prayer, Bible memorization and lots and lots of fun.
Home School Program – this is a resource for home schooling families
Kingdom Kidz is an evangelistic program designed to reach children for Jesus Christ, before they are influenced by ‘the street’. This neighborhood outreach takes place Saturday mornings at the Empowerment Center on Arch Street in Alliance. The ministry team is made up of members from three churches (First Friends of Alliance, Tabernacle Baptist, and Alliance Christian Center).
Training Parents
Children are a blessing from the LORD and the privilege and responsibility to bring them up in the ways of the LORD falls primarily to parents. While the church provides supplemental teaching and encouragement to children, there is no substitute for parents who are fully engaged and focused in the raising of their children. (Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.) One of the greatest ways the church can support this is through discipleship, training and mentoring of men to assume their biblical responsibility with respect to biblical family principles.
