Ministries
The word in the bible for ministry means service…so to minister means to serve. The bible teaches that we are called to minister or serve, and that our ability to serve comes from God. (1 Pet 4:11) Many people think that the pastors are to perform the work of the ministry, when in fact; the bible teaches the role of the pastor is to equip the people in the church to do the work of the ministry. (Eph 4:11-12)
Single Mom’s Oil Change
Twice a year (in the spring and fall), we get together to serve the community by changing oil for single mothers of Alliance. We charge a nominal fee of $5 to help pay for expenses, but we waive the fee for anyone who is unable to pay. We typically do about 25 cars. Counseling
Many needs we face in life are addressed in the word of God, and through encouragement and comfort of the scripture we can find hope.
Missions and Missionaries We Support
Many people are unable to go into other parts of the world, or have the capacity to meet certain needs of others. We can however participate with others who serve in these ways by providing financial support.
Short Term Missions
We have had the opportunity to assist communities that have been ravaged by storms and other catastrophes. Teams of people have gone to provide labor and building trades to assist in these efforts.
