God has been abundantly providing for Bethany & Alanna’s Soul Safari Mission trip to South Africa and Mozambique July 31 – 13th. Bethany has been asking the Lord for an extra $5000 to be able to bless those she comes in contact with while on the mission trip. God is coming through and providing! If you’d like to contribute toward their mission trip, contact us and we’ll send you the necessary information.
A member
of our body has been suffering with back problems since 1999. She recently went to the doctor and he didn’t have good news for her concerning her back. After spending several days in bed, she let her need for prayer be known. Several of our members prayed for her and she is now pain free!
Recently, one of our church members was called home because of a leak in his basement. Instead of getting up in arms over the water in his basement he remained calm.
He recognized the puddle in the basement as a symptom of the problem and not the source of the problem. The problem was cleared up when it was discovered that a clogged gutter was the culprit.
How often in our Christian walk do we go after the symptoms instead of the root source?
God is concerned with our heart. (Proverbs 4:23) We need to keep our eyes focused on Him and not the problem and He will reveal the roots that need dealt with.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
What’s your passion? What are you chasing after? What has your attention? Is it the things of this
earth? Wealth? Pleasure? Career? Health? We need to consider the things of this earth as rubbish.
God wants to be magnified in our hard times. He wants to be the object of our affection.
Philippians 3:8 says, “…I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ…”
ALL things are to be loss. . .
all THINGS are to be loss. . .
all things ARE to be loss. . .
all things are TO BE LOSS. . .
EVERYTHING IS RUBBISH COMPARED TO KNOWING HIM!
The Lord is opening doors for one of our families to be able to foster -to- adopt children.
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15 (NLT)
