The Appointment of Deacons
(Acts 6:1-7)
Once a year our congregation follows the pattern of the early church and chooses men who have shown characteristics that would qualify them to be candidates to serve in the capacity of a deacon. Those men are then confirmed by the elders and set in place for at least a year.

Deacons manage the upkeep and maintenance of church facilities. They also carry the responsibility to follow up with individuals both from within and outside of church family who have expressed some need or require some assistance. These requests must be assessed as to their legitimacy, and also to determine what additional ministry is required (spiritual, financial counseling, etc).

My name is Eric DeMuth and my wife April and I have been married since 1988.  We’ve been attending Alliance Christian Center since the early 1980’s.  Our son, Andrew, was born to us in 1991. Through a long process in my life, the Lord has brought me into the Deacon Ministry.  He has given me a heart for others and I’m trying to grow to the place where I along with my deacon brothers meet others’ needs more efficiently.
