Beliefs

Our beliefs statement begins on this page with a list of nine essential truths we believe are necessary to the Christian faith. The Additional Beliefs page describes other truths we hold to, but do not perceive as barriers to fellowship with other Christians who may disagree. A Comprehensive Statement of Faith is available as well.
Essential Truths of the Christian Faith
1. Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and declares His design and plan for mankind.
2. The Trinity – We believe in one God, revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ – We believe Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity; was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin; and lived a sinless life.
4. Christ’s Atonement – We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and was buried. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.
5. Christ’s Resurrection – We believe Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for us today.
6. Creation – We believe God created the universe, and that He created man in His image.
7. Sin and Hell - We believe all men have disobeyed God and are justly condemned as sinners to an eternal punishment in hell.
8. Regeneration – We believe a person must be born again by the Holy Spirit to be saved, and that the indwelling Holy Spirit enables him to live a godly life.
9. Justification -We believe that a person is saved by grace through repentance and faith in the completed work of Christ; His death on the cross and resurrection three days later.
